Happy Fall

A couple of weeks ago I got the most brilliant idea for a table centerpiece, so I was off to the craft store to get the needed supplies. I bought some foam balls, craft paint, fall leaves, and some fun ribbon. Here's what I came up with:

Vinyl Rocks!

I've been experimenting with vinyl, and I've come to the conclusion that I absolutely LOVE it! Here are the additions to my bathroom:

This is a combination of Vinyl and Armour Etch. It's pretty fantastic, and I now if I leave a pan at someone's house, I don't have to worry about not getting it back. :) It's hard to see our name in this picture, but it looks pretty cool on our pan.

A Little Remodel

I (and when I say "I" I really mean Dusty) had to add a few more knobs to my jewelry holder, I think it looks much better now.

Thanks Hubbie!!!

Months ago (and I mean months) I envisioned the most amazing jewelry holder. At the time, my jewelry was smashed in a little box and because I couldn't see everything, I would often forget what jewelry I even had. I told Dusty about my dream jewelry holder, and we set out to find it. We kept our eyes open every time we went to the mall or store, but to no avail- no cool jewelry holders. Then one day my friend, Carlie, showed me a jewelry holder her sister had made...and it was exactly what I had envisioned. So I made Dusty see it so he could fully understand what I was talking about.

After me talking about this jewelry holder A LOT, Dusty told me he could just make it for me. "What?!" I thought? "You could make that for me???" I was so excited, so that night we went down to my parent's house to use my dad's wood shop. Dusty impressed me, I have to admit. :) He was throwing out terms and using all this cool equipment I had no idea he even knew about. And Dusty is a perfectionist so it turned out AMAZING!!! We finished it yesterday, and here is the final product. Thanks Dusty!

I so love my new jewelry holder!!!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday was mine and Dusty's first anniversary, and it was an awesome day! It started with my friend, Carlie, doing my hair and makeup for me. I have to say that I looked pretty darn good. :)

At 1pm we left for REI so I could get some shoes for Europe. I ended up getting a really cute pair of Keens. And the best part?? They rang up for $20 less than the posted price, you gotta love that, right?

After all that shopping (20 minutes, maybe), we were starving so we decided to share a foot long at Subway. I should hate that place, since I worked there for an entire year, but I think the subs are quite good. While we were at Subway, we decided it would be fun to go see the Bingham Copper mine. Dusty had never been there, and I hadn't been there since I was young. It was pretty much amazing. Here are some pictures:

After the mine, Dusty took me to eat at the Foundry Grill at Sundance. That was the restaurant he took me to when he proposed. It was so fun! And the food is soooo good. We ate everything we ordered- that's how good it was.

On our way home from Sundance we decided we needed a Martinelli and some icecream to celebrate, so we stopped at Winco and picked up the necessities. We got Tilamook icecream, and it is the best icecream (minus homemade) that I have ever had. If you haven't tried it yet, you need to.

So, even after all this time, Dusty and I are still madly in love. The first year of marriage has been a blast-can't wait to see how the next year is. Love you baby!

I Love It!

This past week Dusty and I stayed at my sister's house while her and the fam were on vacation. We love staying there because we are close to his parents (who are awesome...and his mom makes amazing dinners) and there is so much to do in their house. I took advantage of the craft room and crafted like crazy. Dusty mostly sat at his computer studying...poor guy. :(

We also got to watch their little teacup poodle, Lizzie. She is such a fun dog and gets so excited every time I walk in the door, even if I've only been gone for a few minutes. She was my new companion for the week- followed me every where I went, cuddled up next to me while watching a movie, went on walks with me, and even slept with me...

This morning when I was packing everything up she started to get very nervous and followed my every move. When I began packing my belongings into my car, I realized Lizzie was not at my side- weird. So I called her name and then got worried that maybe she had run away. So I walked outside to see if she was out there, and saw her sitting on the passenger seat in my car; she had no intention of leaving that spot. She was determined not to be left behind. I had to go out there, pick her up, and bring her inside so I could leave for work. I felt so mean.

So all in all, Dusty and I had a great time at my sister's, and when my sister and fam got back they got us a gift to say 'thanks.' It was pretty much the best gift ever! Here is a pic of it:

And it came with a tag of authenticity

This is by far the best pineapple I have ever had. I've eaten so much my mouth feels a little raw, but it was totally worth it. I guess I know what's for lunch tomorrow. Thanks Jen and Mar!

Amazing Car!

So I just have to brag for a second because I looked at my odometer this morning and realized I have driven 380 miles on $20- and my gas light isn't even on yet. My car is so amazing.
