Our Weekend Get-A-Way

Because Dusty and I don't get to see each other as much as we'd like (our work schedules are a bit crazy right now), we decided we deserved a little weekend get-a-way. On Friday we headed up for Ogden to stay at my sister's cabin.

We brought some healthy snacks and watched [part of] a movie that night, Social Network. Surprisingly interesting movie. If you have not seen it yet, you should. We tried to stay up late, but that didn't work too well for us. We didn't finish our movie, but fell asleep instead.

Saturday we slept in FOREVER!!! (well, until 7am). We decided to be uberly lazy, and finished watching our movie.

Later that day we decided to go snow shoeing at Snow Basin because they have some fun trails for that. However, we decided to scope out the trails first before we rented the shoes, and good thing because we didn't even need them. The show was so packed down that we stayed right on top of it the entire time. It was a lot of fun to just walk and chat!

After that little adventure we went to Smith and Edwards.

If you have never been to this store, you need to go. It has the most random yet most fun things. Even if you don't plan on buying anything, it is still fun to just walk around (and you probably will end up buying something before you leave).

We bought some bullets and some Girl's Scout Cookies (that's what Dust is holding). I'm doing a 3-month healthy eating challenge, so I can't eat my cookies for another 2 months, but I have never had my own box of Girl's Scout cookies before, so I decided to treat myself.

After that, we went back to the cabin and I made a delicious margarita pizza. Sooo good! We lazed around for another few hours, and then headed back home. Wish we could have stayed up there for longer, but it really was a great weekend for us.

What a Bargain!

I just have to brag for a second...

I was able to buy two super cute/trendy/comfortable/awesome female pilot shirts for only $48! And I got them from Express. I usually have to buy my pilot shirts and then have mom take half of the fabric off so they'll fit. But no longer! How great is that, right?

This picture is a bit deceiving because I look really short, when in actuality I am quite tall.

So Good!

Last night I made the most delicious but non-fattening/non-sugary dessert ever. And it was so good! Here's the picture of my wonderful delight....A Whole Wheat Crepe.

I put strawberries, bananas, and sugar free/fat free pudding on the top. And I used only egg whites in the batter. I ate two because I just couldn't help myself. :) If you want to make them too, here's the recipe.

2 egg whites
1/2 cup skim milk
--mix until well blended then add--
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
dash of salt to taste
--mix until well blended--

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
