Honeymoon- So Much Fun!

Dusty and I left for our honeymoon on August 30th. We flew to LAX and then got on our cruise ship. We went on a 7-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera. We had a blast. I think a cruise is the way to go because you don't have to find things to do, all the food is free, the pools are nice, and the entertainment is awesome. We were ready to come home and get back to life after the week, but we enjoyed every minute of our vacation.

On our third day (Tuesday) we hung out on the ship and then went to the formal dinner that night. The food was good, and the cheesecake for dessert was to die for (but not literally).

Wedding Day

Dusty and I got married on August 28th at noon in the Draper Temple. Dusty showed up 30 minutes late becuase he got stuck in construction. I was freaking out at first, but then it was so nice becuase we didn't have to do any waiting. We got in, did the paperwork, and then were married/sealed. It all went by so fast. But it was such an amazing experience. After the sealing we took some pics, and then went to get everything set up for the reception, which we had from 6-8 pm. The reception felt like it was 30 minutes long it went by so fast. I loved every minute of it, and I'm glad I now have pictures to remember it all. Enjoy. :)

Dusty's Big Race

I've got some catching up to do- I've been a slacker. The following pictures are from the 100 mile off-road bike race Dusty did in Leadville Colorado on August 15th. It was so fun to be there. We went with his mom, dad, and brother, Cody.

I don't remember the exact mileage here, but he has been biking for hours- I don't know how he did it. I would've died by this point.

Blond Moment #2

According to my list, this is only the second blond thing I have done. How great is that?!

On Monday night I did a night flight. I didn't land until 11:30, so I was way late getting home. On the way home I had to keep turning my A/C on, then vent only, then A/C on, then vent only. How annoying, right? Then I got a brilliant idea! I'll turn the A/C on but then add a little heat to it so it is the perfect temperature. Problem solved.

Tuesday I didn't have to work until 1:30. I swear it was at least 200+ degrees on my way to work. I verified my A/C was on, and on setting 4 (as high as it goes). I was dripping sweat my whole way to work! I thought, "Maybe my A/C is broken" or "Maybe it's so hot out here that it is impossible for my A/C to get as cold as it used to," etc, etc.



I felt like I had gone swimming by the time I finally made it to work. Thankfully they keep it -60 degrees inside the building, so I was able to cool down fairly quickly.

On my way home it was much cooler, but still my A/C would not get very cold. And then I remembered- I didn't have the temperature set all the way on cold. Hello!? How could I forget that? I roasted all the way to work for no reason- it could have been prevented. But, at least now I know my A/C isn't really broken.

Seriously?

Today I was pre-flighting the aircraft before my flight. I always check the oil because low oil is one problem I don't need. We had enough oil, thankfully, but as I was pulling out the oil stick it attacked me and flung out of control. I tried to back away so the oil stick wouldn't hit me, but the end of the stick (the part in the oil reservoir) swiped my armpit. And of course I was wearing a dressy white shirt today. How does that happen? This was at noon and I didn't have time to go home and change, so now it looks like I am sweating oil. So gross!

Keys

I have to admit that in the past, I was not good at remembering to take my keys out of the car before I locked it. I'm sure I've locked my keys in the car at least 33.7 times (the last time was a year ago, so I've been doing good!). But since I am so smart I made 4 copies of my car key and placed them in strategic places. For example, one is in my parent's key drawer, one is on my brother's key ring, etc. My family has always mocked me for having so many keys, but really I am smart!

I got a text from my little bro yesterday, and this is what it read: "Jeez, I pulled something like you would do...Locked the keys in the car."

I said: "Oops! Do you have a spare?"

Of course he had a spare, but not anywhere near- and only 1 spare. Who's the smart one now? (ps. The answer is Julie...not Kurt).
